The entire Northeast India has been experiencing rain and thundershower activities accompanied with strong winds since the last two weeks. In order to overcome this situation, several relief camps have been set up in the various parts of the state.
Rainfall activities are still continuing, as during the last 24 hours, light to moderate rains associated with heavy showers have been reported in most places of Northeast India. According to the data available with Skymet, Guwahati in Assam has recorded 13.8 mm of rainfall, followed by Kailashahar in Tripura 3.4 mm and Kohima in Nagaland 2.2 mm.
According to Skymet Weather, several weather systems have aligned in order to give rains over northeastern states of the country. At present, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Northeast Bihar and adjoining region. Another Cyclonic Circulation is over southern parts of Assam in the lower levels.
