After a prolonged dry spell, rains have finally appeared in Telangana. The state including its capital city- Hyderabad has been observing good rain and thundershowers for the past two to three days. Meanwhile, fairly widespread rainfall has been recorded in Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Particularly, the northern districts of both the states have observed moderate showers.
These rains can be attributed to the Cyclonic Circulation over Telangana along with the Trough which is extending up to Tamil Nadu.
Meteorologists at Skymet have predicted more rain in Coastal Andhra Pradesh for another 24 to 48 hours. Rayalaseema also stands a chance to see some showers during this span. On the other hand, rainfall activities may reduce in Telangana and only intermittent showers are expected now.
Amidst rains, both day and night temperatures have dropped in Telangana. The minimums, in particular, have come closer to near normal. This has brought much relief from the warm weather conditions that the state was experiencing recently.
However, as the rains are likely to take a backseat after next 24 hours, the temperatures may start rising once again. Post this spell, we do not expect any major rainfall activity to take place anytime soon.
