At present, Chhattisgarh is rain surplus by 7 percent. Now, as the axis of Monsoon trough is running north of the state, hence rains will reduce significantly over southern and central parts, while northern areas will continue to record moderate showers. In wake of this, the flood situation over Jagdalpur and Bastar will also recover.
Places like Ambikapur, Balrampur, Koriya and Korba will receive light to moderate, whereas dry weather will prevail over Dantewada, Bastar and Kanker.
The state of Odisha has witnessed heavy rains. This could be attributed to the depression over Coastal Odisha. However, the system has moved towards Madhya Pradesh and weakened into a low pressure area.
