The state of Rajasthan saw light rainfall activities in the past 24 hours, however, these rains were limited to the northwestern parts of the state only, including Sri Ganganagar and adjoining areas.

These rains have been attributed to the Western Disturbance which has induced a cyclonic circulation over Northwest Rajasthan.

Further, isolated light rains are expected to continue over parts of North Rajasthan, such as Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and northern parts of Churu and Bikaner today.

However, by tomorrow, weather is expected to become dry once again with a gradual increase in day temperatures.

At present, minimums are above normal by 3℃-4℃ over many places. In fact, a gradual increase in temperature has been observed after November 7. This is due to the successive Western Disturbances which had not allowed cold northwesterly winds to sack in and that is why winds are blowing mostly south westerly and south easterly since last four to five days.

These warm and humid winds have significantly resulted in temperatures to increase.

However, around November 15, this Western Disturbance will move away and cold- dry winds from North will start commencing from November 16 onward, thereby setting coolness in the atmosphere.

This phenomena will lead to a fall in both day and night temperatures by 3℃-5℃ around November 16 to November 19.
