The dry weather in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and parts of Andhra Pradesh has taken a break as light rain over the region occurred during last 24 hours. Some of these areas that have not received rain in January for almost a decade now are presently enjoying wonderful and slightly chilly weather.
While Hyderabad received 3 mm of rain during last 24 hours, Bengaluru has been receiving very light rain in last two days. Light rain blessed most parts of Karnataka including coastal parts. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh also observed good rainfall. For instance, Anantapur received good 16 mm of rain during the same span.
Due to light rain, both day and night temperature have registered a drop of 1-2 degrees and weather has turned pleasant in most of these places. While day temperature has dipped and settled below than the normal in Bengaluru, it has come down to normal in Hyderabad. A confluence zone which is marked over East India and northern parts of Peninsular India has been instrumental in bringing light rain and drop in temperature.
