Withdrawal of Southwest monsoon is a delayed significantly in 2021. Onset of Southwest Monsoon is also delayed due to development of successive weather systems over Bay of Bengal. Cyclonic circulation and low-pressure areas did not allow North easterly winds to set in. Which is an essential criteria for Northeast monsoon. As of now there is no significant weather system in Bay of Bengal which would obstruct the flow of north easterly winds.
