Many parts of Madhya Pradesh have received light to moderate rains except West Madhya Pradesh. As on June 19, West Madhya Pradesh is surplus by 45% but East Madhya Pradesh is deficit by 40%. Reason for these surplus rains over West Madhya Pradesh is the good rainfall activities which occurred over the state during the second week of June.

In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Monday Rewa witnessed 6.4 mm rainfall, Gwalior 4.7 mm, Satna 2.6, Betul 2.4 mm.
At present also, rain and thundershower are likely to occur over Ashoknagar, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Katni, Panna, Sagar, Shivpuri, Tikamgarh, Vidisha, Rewa, Satna, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Seoni and Jabalpur today.

These rainfall activities will subside the warm and dry weather conditions and pleasant weather will take over.
Monsoon has yet not made an onset over the state. This year Monsoon has got delayed over Madhya Pradesh as normally by June 15 most parts of the state except North Madhya Pradesh are covered by Monsoon. We expect Monsoon to make an onset over Southern parts of Madhya Pradesh in the next four to five days.
