Moreover, the easterly winds from Bay of Bengal are also expected to reach at many parts of east Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, the northwesterly dry winds are also likely to reach towards eastern region of the state.
In the wake of both these opposite winds, chances of the formation of convective clouds are foreseen. These clouds are most likely to develop over regions like Gorakhpur, Devaria, Allahabad and Sultanpur.
However, scattered showers are also expected to make their appearance. While rain would keep pouring over the foothills of west region of the state for next 24 – 48 hours.

Although light spells are still going on in parts of the state. But these scattered showers over eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh will not be beneficial for the kharif crops as at most of the places, kharif crops are ready for harvesting,
At one point, rains may damage the standing Kharif crops, on the other hand, these rains will surely enhance soil moisture and would prove to be beneficial for Rabi crops.
