The two prominent Maharashtrian cities of Mumbai and Pune have been witnessing dry weather conditions since the last three to four days. In fact, day temperatures have increased over Mumbai and suburbs since the last few days which has led to high discomfort levels. However, a relief is in sight now as we expect light scattered rains to commence over Mumbai and suburbs by tomorrow.

There will be an increase in rain activities on October 19 and 20. Thereafter, the rain intensity will decrease but on and off rains may continue until October 22.

These rains will be the effect of a probable Low Pressure Area which is likely to form over Arabian Sea in the next 48 hours or so.

Not only Mumbai, but many other parts of Maharashtra may also experience rain and thundershower activities of various intensities.

Pune will start receiving light to moderate rains from October 18. A few intense spells also cannot be ruled out. These on and off rains are expected to continue until October 23.

These rain activities may stretch up to October 24 as well but the rain intensity will be light on this day. The intensity will be mainly patchy on this day.

Hot and uneasy weather conditions were going on over Mumbai for the last some days. Now, however, these rains will pave way to comfortable weather.

There are good chances of rain activities on October 21 when the Vidhan Sabha elections are scheduled for Maharashtra. These rains might pose some difficulty in the process.
