A T20 match is set to played between India and South Africa at 1:30 pm today in Dharamshala stadium. However, as per forecasters at Skymet, the match might get affected due to the prevailing and upcoming weather in the region.

Already, overnight heavy rains of 42.8 mm have played a spoilsport in Dharamshala leaving the ground majorly wet over the stadium.

At present, an Active Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, we expect on and off moderate showers to continue over many parts of Himachal Pradesh, today and tomorrow. Dharamshala is also very likely to get affected. Although any continuous downpour is being ruled out, but the on and off rains might pose a considerable disturbance to the upcoming match.

Not just Himachal Pradesh, we expect fairly widespread rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand today. These rains might affect the region until the night of March 13 leading to the closure of many roads, landslides and mudslides and making it difficult for the commuters.

In fact, rain and snow activities have only increased over many parts of Western Himalayas during the last 24 hours. The day before yesterday i.e. on March 10, only isolated light rains were witnessed by Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
