A trough which was extending from Central parts to Coastal Karnataka has further moved westwards and has developed a low-level circulation over Marathwada and adjoining Telangana region.
South/ southwesterly winds are expected to prevail over many parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region.
During the last 24 hours, moderate rains were observed over south and western parts of Tamil Nadu, North Andhra Pradesh Coast and isolated activities over Telangana and central parts of Tamil Nadu.
Rain and thundershowers are expected to occur over many parts of Tamil Nadu. Northern and central parts will remain warm and humid. Mainly light rains and isolated moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to continue over extreme south and western parts of Tamil Nadu.
The northern parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh may receive thundershowers with gusty winds. Rain and thundershowers at few places are likely over Telangana and Rayalaseema.
Temperatures over the northern parts of Telangana will continue to remain above normal. Heatwave type condition is expected to prevail over the area.
The capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai will remain mainly dry and warm.
