Rains likely over Bhagalpur, Gaya, Patna, Chapra in next 24-48 hrs

The state of Bihar has been witnessing on and off good pre-Monsoon showers. All thanks to the cyclonic circulation persisting over the Southwest Bihar, Moreover, a trough is also extending from this system up to North Bay of Bengal, which is further enhancing the rain.

In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am Bhagalpur received 21 mm rainfall, Chapra 11.4 mm rainfall. While other cities witnessed very light rainfall activities.

Further, we can expect rain and thundershowers over the state of Bihar to continue for another 24 hours. In fact, Gaya and adjoining areas are already witnessing rains at present.

The weather conditions across the state are warm and humid. These weather conditions will now subside and pleasant weather will be witnessed by people soon.

Northeastern parts of Bihar covering Supaol, Katihar may receive rain, thundershower with squally winds for the next 24-48 hours. Isolated weather activities will continue over the plains and southern parts of the state.

At present, northeasterly and easterly winds are prevailing across the state with cloudy to partly cloudy sky.

Monsoon is likely to make an onset across Bihar during the third week of June.
