Light rain occurred over parts of Punjab between March 1 and 3. Since then, the weather has remained dry. In fact, the day temperatures also decreased significantly during that time. Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures saw a drop after March 4.

Now, a Western Disturbance which is over North Pakistan has induced a feeble cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab region. Therefore, we expect light rain activities at isolated places of Punjab today.
Places such as Amritsar, Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Moga, and Gurdaspur may receive patchy rain for a short duration today.
It is expected that the minimum temperatures may rise marginally. Meanwhile, the day temperatures will also witness a drop of around 2°C. The minimums will range between 26°C and 28°C and the maximums will settle between 12°C and 14°C.
As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, these rainfall activities will subside by tomorrow and the weather will become dry.
Meanwhile, subsequent Western Disturbances will keep on affecting the Western Himalayas. However, their effect will not be seen over Punjab in terms of rainfall. Though, the sky may become partly cloudy to cloudy over the northern districts of Punjab.
