Been a while that Southwest Monsoon 2018 has bid adieu from the northern plains of the country. This bought in dry and warm weather for the inhabitants of the plains. However, a day before, few pockets of Delhi and parts of Haryana received patchy rains.

As per Skymet, change in weather in northwestern plains is foreseen between October 11-13. This will be because of the interaction between the two weather systems. Currently, a low pressure area is seen in Southeast Arabian Sea which will gradually intensify into a Cyclonic storm around October 7-8. Simultaneously, a Western Disturbance will affect Jammu and Kashmir by that time.

Humid winds from the Arabian Sea will coincide with the Western Disturbance, bringing in rains across the northwestern plains of the country.

Such weather condition might continue till October 15. The intensity of rains would peak around October 14-15.

While, the maximums will see a drop by 2-3 degree- Celsius across the region during this time. This spell will also mark the change in winter season.

Post October 15, normal temperature will too see a fall. A marginal relief will be experienced in day temperatures. Pleasant weather is foreseen during mornings and nights and day becoming less warm.
