These rainfall activities had not much effect on the temperatures as such since they continued to remain on the higher side itself.

In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Gondia saw 14 mm of rain, Bramhapuri 17 mm, Seoni 12 mm, Mana 10 mm, Bilaspur 5 mm, Ambikapur 3 mm, Malanjkhand 1 mm, and Pendra Road 0.8 mm. Nagpur and Yavatmal also saw traces of rainfall.

These weather activities can be attributed to the anticyclone which is persisting over West Central Bay of Bengal. An off-shore trough is also extending from Marathwada to Comorin region. An embedded cyclonic circulation is also over South Madhya Maharashtra. All these features have resulted in a Confluence zone over these regions.

Due to this, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected over many areas of Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. Cities of Nagpur, Gondia, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Yavatmal, Nanded, Washim, Parbhani, Wardha, Jagdalpur, Durg, Raipur and Rajnandgaon may see some rainfall activity during the next 24 to 36 hours.
