Most parts of Maharashtra have received light to moderate rainfall activities. In fact, one or two places in Vidarbha and Konkan and Goa have seen heavy showers as well. In fact, weather of Malegaon, Jalna and Ahmednagar remained almost dry.
During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Bramhapuri recorded 39 mm of rainfall, Chandrapur 32 mm, Nanded 23 mm, Parbhani 18 mm, Washim 10 mm, Harnai 42 mm, Vengurla 21 mm, Dahanu 18 mm, Sholapur 20 mm, Yavatmal 7 mm, Ratnagiri 11 mm, and Mumbai 9 mm.
Now, we expect rainfall activity to increase over the state for at least the next two days as the Monsoon surge is becoming active due to the influence of a well marked low pressure area over eastern parts of the country. During the next 24 hours, heavy to very heavy rains are likely over many parts of Vidarbha and isolated pockets of Marathwada.
Moderate showers are also likely to occur over Konkan and Goa. Mumbai rains are also expected to remain between light to moderate for the next two days. However, Madhya Maharashtra will only see light rainfall activity with isolated moderate showers over these areas.
