The state of Uttarakhand has seen some intense rains. Moreover, the capital city of Dehradun has also seen rain on a daily basis. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Pantnagar recorded 46 mm of rain, Mukteshwar Kumaon 11 mm, and Dehradun 10 mm.
Now also, the state of Uttarakhand will continue to see rains at least until July 18. Rains will be mostly moderate in nature with isolated heavy spells.
These rains will be attributed to the Monsoon trough, which is at present close to the foothills, and will remain at the same time. We do not foresee any hefty rainfall activity or rains that are very widespread in nature over the state during this period.
