August 22, 2023 3:46 PM | Skymet Weather Team

The state of Rajasthan has hardly seen any rains in the last many days, particularly over the western parts of the state. The eastern parts have seen some isolated rainfall activity but even that has not been significant.

In the coming days, for the rest of August, we do not expect anything significant over the state. Isolated showers may be seen over the eastern parts.

Earlier Rajasthan saw intense rains in July as well as June, thus the western parts of the state were at over a hundred percent surplus on August 1. However, the month of August has been not good at all for the state and rains have been far and few which has consumed the surplus.

East Rajasthan, which was at over 45 per cent surplus, is at 1 per cent surplus, and West Rajasthan is currently at 60 percent surplus.

Sikar, Kota, and Bundi may see some rain but they will remain light for the next few days. The monsoon trough has moved to the north towards the foothills and there is no system which may result in any rains.
