Rains in Madhya Pradesh to continue until tomorrow

The state of Madhya Pradesh has recorded some unseasonal rains in the last 24 hours. So much so that in the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Sagar recorded 16 mm rain, Betul saw 14 mm of rains, Bhopal 8 mm, Umaria 5 mm, Raisen 2 mm, and Chhindwara 2 mm.

These rains have been attributed to the remnants of Cyclone Mandous which was in proximity of the state. The system is now over Arabian Sea, and moist winds are blowing over the region, resulting in rainfall activities.

Today and tomorrow, rainfall activity is expected to be seen over parts of the state. Rains will be shrinking in space and affect the southern parts of Madhya Pradesh including Hoshangabad, Betul, Chhindwara adjacent to Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. Northern parts will not witness rainfall activities.
