The city of Lucknow has been witnessing on and off rains for quite some time now. Moreover, there have been heavy rains as well a day before, wherein the city of Lucknow witnessed 66 mm of rains.
Rains did reduce to quite an extent with only moderate showers being observed during the last 24 hours. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday the state capital recorded 11 mm of rainfall.
Rains have reduced in view of the Low-Pressure Area now moving southwards and is currently over Northeast Madhya Pradesh.
Today also, the city has been witnessing rainfall activities since the morning hours and as per weathermen at Skymet, short spells of rains are likely to be seen today as well.
Strong easterlies have been blowing over the region and with abundance of moisture rainfall activity will be seen during the next three to four days.
However, these rainfall activities are expected to be light in nature only with isolated moderate showers during this time period.
So far, in the month of August, Lucknow has recorded 186.6 mm of rainfall against 255.3 mm of its normal rainfall.
