Madhya Pradesh witnessed dry and uneasy weather during the past few days. Although, few regions such as Nowgong, Raisen and Jabalpur recorded traces of rain, but they failed to bring any relief. These rains were extremely light in nature, therefore the temperature profile did not witness any changes.

However, some relief is on cards as rains are all set to return to the state. As per Skymet Weather, short spell of rain and thundershower is likely at parts of East Madhya Pradesh and some parts of West Madhya Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh today. Places such as Khajuraho, Rewa, Satna, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Umaria, Seoni and Bhopal are expected to record rainy spells during the next 24 hours.
Few places have already recorded some light rain and thundershowers during the Thursday morning hours.
The rainfall activity will be accompanied with strong gusty winds and lightning strikes. In fact, dust storm and hailstorm may also occur in many parts of the state.
These rains would occur due to the cyclonic circulation persisting over North Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, a trough is also extending from this circulation up to East Central Arabian Sea across Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan region.
As per weathermen, the weather would clear up by tomorrow. In fact, both the maximum and minimum temperatures are anticipated to drop over the state which would make the weather comfortable. The maximums would settle around 34°C and minimums would settle between 18°C and 21°C.
