Spanning from the April, Surat has remained dry almost the entire month of May as well. Not even a single drop of rain has been witnessed by the city in the entire month. On account of this, the temperatures too witnessed soaring levels settling beyond the 40-degree mark.
Though a few districts of the state like Rajkot, Ahmedabad, and Deesa observed a few rainy traces on a few occasions, however rains remained at bay from pouring over the other few districts. However, rain gods seem to be happy and are expected to bless some of the districts of Gujarat today.
As per Skymet Weather, a trough is seen running from South Pakistan to North Konkan and Goa region across Gujarat. In the wake of this, rains are likely to appear in the regions like Surat, Valsad and Bhavnagar during the late afternoon or evening hours today.
These rains are likely to continue lashing parts of Gujarat and on and off showers will keep on showing up in parts of the state and its few districts as well. Though Ahmedabad is likely to remain dry but cloudy weather will be prevalent.
