After witnessing some sharp and intense showers on Tuesday night, Delhi-NCR is all set to witness another spell of rains and thundershowers on Wednesday. Some parts could also witness thunderstorm or dust storm along with some lightning strikes.
But, like yesterday, these showers will occur during the late afternoon or evening hours. Thus, we can expect another pleasant evening.
According to Skymet Weather, weather conditions will remain conducive for rain and thundershowers to continue for another 48 hours. In fact, this will be prolonged spell of pre-Monsoon which is likely to continue till month end. Intensity of rains is also likely to increase by April 29 or 30.
“At present, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan and adjoining West Rajasthan and a trough is also extending from this region up to West Uttar Pradesh across Delhi and Haryana,” said Mahesh Palawat, Chief Meteorologist, Skymet Weather.
He added, “In span of next 48 hours, the trough would get more marked, which would lead to increase in rainfall intensity”.
These rains have arrested the rise in day temperatures which would be now settling around 37°C or 38°C only. We do not expect harsh summer conditions to make a comeback over Delhi-NCR at least till the month end.
