July 16, 2022 10:00 AM | Skymet Weather Team

The state of Odisha has started to see some Monsoon rains and these showers will continue over the eastern state for at least the next two to three days. A Cyclonic Circulation has moved in over the Bay of Bengal from Myanmar region, Gulf of Maratban and adjoining areas.

The Cyclonic Circulation is expected to get stronger and getting organized with the possibility of a low pressure as well over that region. The system will spend about 48-72 hours over the Bay and the coastal parts.

Thus, the state of Odisha will remain under the influence of this particular system, due to which we can expect some fairly widespread rains over many parts of the state. Isolated pockets may see some heavy showers as well.

Today, Sambalpur did see some heavy rains and more regions are to be covered tomorrow. Interior parts of the state will also be impacted due to this system in the next two to three days.
