The states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh have been seeing mostly dry weather conditions in the absence of any weather system in proximity of the region. However, the month of October has not been that bad for the state of Odisha as the state has received above normal rains so far. Moreover, the state has seen 15 percent surplus rains as of now.
On the other hand, the state of Andhra Pradesh has seen a very disappointing month of October resulting in large deficiency over the region. In fact, the state has been rain deficient by a whopping 70 percent. Division wise, Coastal Andhra Pradesh is rain deficient by 73 percent while Rayalaseema is seeing a rain deficiency of -62 percent.
However, rainfall activity is expected to commence over the states of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, particularly the coastal areas. Both Coastal Andhra and Odisha will see light to moderate rainfall activity in the next 24 to 48 hours.
Isolated pockets of the interior regions of both these states may see some light rainfall activity. Minimum temperatures are expected to see a rise while maximums may see a marginal fall due to these rainfall activities.
