As rains have remained far from showering over Rajasthan, this is the reason the state has been reeling under the dry weather from more than a week. Apart from recording a few spells in the first few days of July, otherwise the weather of Rajasthan has remained mainly dry due to which the mercury levels at a few regions are also settling near or even beyond the 40-degree mark.

In fact, last good spells that occurred over most parts of Rajasthan were during the fag end of June. Since then dry days have been prevalent over the ‘desert state’ of the country.

In fact, in the last 24 hours also, not many drops of rain have been recorded by the stations of Rajasthan apart from Udaipur that has witnessed light rainy traces. Moreover, rains are not foreseen to bless the state before July 13.

However, now the cyclonic circulation which is over East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar is likely to gradually move towards East Rajasthan between July 13 and 14. Moreover, another cyclonic circulation can also be marked over Southwest Rajasthan.

Hence, the combined effect of both these weather systems will result in light rains over the eastern and western districts of the state such as Alwar, Bundi, and Sawai Madhopur can brace for some light showers in the next 24 hours. But the intensity of rains is likely to be more over the western parts of the state.

Moreover, by July 12, the intensity of these rains will also pace up. Thereafter, good rains will occur over most parts of the southwest Rajasthan that will record more rains as compared with the northern districts of the state.

Hence, rains will be much more over Kota, Chittorgarh, Bundi, and Jodhpur as compared with the districts such as Bikaner, Churu, and Sri Ganganagar. The capital city Jaipur can also see some light rains.

These rains will also help in enhancing the rainfall status of the state which is as on July 10 stands at a surplus of 85% for West Rajasthan while is rain deficit by 1% for East Rajasthan.
