The Western parts of Uttar Pradesh have received a moderate amount of rainfall at many places while eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh have experienced light rains at scattered places during the last 24 hours.
At present, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over southern parts of Uttar Pradesh and is extending up to 7.6 km as height extends.
Since the axis of Monson Trough is persisting and passing across southern parts of Uttar Pradesh, hence, light to moderate rains will be affecting at many places all over the state during the next 18 to 24 hours.
Thereafter, the rain intensity will decrease over northern parts of the state, while the southern parts will continue to receive light rains and thundershowers for the subsequent another 24 hours.
Places like Varanasi, Mirzapur, Allahabad, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Aligarh, Agra, Lucknow, Bareilly, Meerut, Shahjahanpur, Kanpur, Banda, etc are likely to receive moderate rains and thundershowers during the next 24 to 48 hours.
In the upcoming few days, this axis of Monsoon Trough will be shifting Southwards under the influence of a Low-Pressure Area which lies over southern parts of Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining region and move in West-Northwest direction.
Thus, after 48 hours, the rainfall activity will be decreasing over the entire Uttar Pradesh. However, light rains may occur at isolated places due to the local weather conditions.
Thereafter the rains will be decreasing over the state. Day temperatures will rise continuously.
