AfterKeralaand Coastal Karnataka, it’s now time for good showers in the interiors of Peninsular India. Rainfall is likely to increase over interiors of Karnataka, Marathwada and parts of Vidarbha during next few days.
On and off rains will continue over interiors of Karnataka, Marathwada and Vidarbha. A cyclonic circulation is seen over Marathwada. A trough is joining this system with another one over North Chhattisgarh. Therefore, we can expect scattered rainfall activities over Marathwada, Vidarbha,TelanganaandChhattisgarh.
After 24 hours, we expect the cyclonic circulation over Marathwada to shift southwards and settle over North Interior Karnataka. Therefore, the rain intensity will increase over North Interior Karnataka and southern parts of Marathwada by May 3. One or two districts over the region may receive heavy rainfall also.
Thereafter, by May 4 onwards, the spread of rain will increase and many parts of Marathwada, Vidarbha and some parts of South Chhattisgarh will start receiving light to moderate rain and thundershower activities. By May 6, rainfall will decrease over Vidarbha and Chattisgarh but continue over many parts of Marathwada, interiors of Karnataka and parts of Madhya Maharashtra.
