While most of the northern parts of India are experiencing a heatwave weather condition, it seems that the weather has been generous over the regions of Punjab and Haryana. Recently few pockets of both the states witnessed light to moderate rainfall followed by hailstorms, thunderstorm and dust storm.
This condition has arrived due to a cyclonic circulation that has been generated over the regions of Punjab and Haryana. A trough moving towards Punjab, Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh can be also be the reason for this weather condition.
Rainfall and hailstorm have made the weather pleasant over most parts of Punjab. Patiala recorded a rainfall of good 17 mm, Chandigarh recorded a rainfall of 3 mm. In Haryana, Ambala recorded a rainfall of 1 mm.
Maximum daily temperatures in most parts of the Punjab have also seen a drop. Most parts of the state have recorded the maximum daily temperatures below 40°C.
