Dry weather conditions have been prevailing over the state of Gujarat for quite some time now. In fact, Gujarat is one pocket at present where temperatures are on the higher side, however, at the moment, there are no heatwave conditions over the region.
Temperatures are around 40 degrees in some places. The state of Gujarat is known for extreme heat during this time wherein temperatures and maximum temperatures do cross 42 and 43 degrees also, but at the moment, that is not the case.
Now, rains are expected to make an appearance around April 27. Sprinkles and isolated rains may be seen then but from April 28 onward, one can expect good rains over many parts of Gujarat, which will be a week-long activity lasting until May 3.
Otherwise, Gujarat does not see a lot of Pre Monsoon activity, thus, this will be one of the rare occasions wherein the intensity, spread and duration will be more than usual.
