Madhya Pradesh has been witnessing dry weather conditions during the last 24 hours, barring extreme eastern parts of the state that have been witnessing partly cloudy to cloudy sky conditions. Now, the state is all set to record light rains and thundershowers.

According to Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation can be seen over extreme Northeast Madhya Pradesh and South Uttar Pradesh. Another cyclonic circulation is over Central Madhya Pradesh and adjoining region.

Besides this, a trough is also seen running from central Uttar Pradesh to Maharashtra across Central Madhya Pradesh. An anti-cyclone is marked over North Bay of Bengal, which is infusing enough moisture over eastern parts of the country along with eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh.

In wake of these weather systems, a confluence zone is marked over central Madhya Pradesh. With this, light rains and thundershowers are likely over eastern parts of the state during the next 24 to 48 hours. Extreme parts of East and Northeast Madhya Pradesh might also witness hailstorm.

Rain and thundershower with gusty winds are likely at many places like Anuppur, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Damoh, Dindori, Jabalpur, Katni, Mandla, Narsimhapur, Panna, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Seoni, Shahdol, Sidhi, Singrauli and Umaria districts.

Presence of moisture may lead to moderate to dense fog over early morning hours over eastern parts of the state.

Meanwhile, western parts and adjoining north region would be dry with slight fall in day temperatures and rise in night temperatures.
