Monsoon is weak over Northwest India, including Delhi and NCR for the last few days. Rainfall in patches is going on over Delhi, parts of Punjab, isolated pockets of Haryana, and north Rajasthan. The east-west trough is south of Delhi, extending from northwest Rajasthan to North East India.
Light rain in patches may continue over these states until July 4. The intensity and spread of rain may increase July 5th onwards. The humid winds from the Arabian Sea will start feeding moisture over North West India. Moreover, a cyclonic circulation may develop over the Central parts of Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab and Haryana. In the wake of these weather parameters rain activities are expected to increase our Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and north and northeast Rajasthan from July 5th and on and off rains may continue during the next 4 to 5 days.
There will be relief from ongoing sultry weather conditions. In fact, farmers of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh are eagerly waiting for rain to increase. This upcoming rain spell will certainly boost the spirit of farmers. Day temperature may drop by 2 to 3° leading to pleasant weather conditions.
