As accurately predicted by Skymet Weather, during the last 24 hours, scattered light to moderate rains have been recorded in Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, isolated showers were observed in parts of Telangana.
Talking about the weather system, a Confluence Zone is still persisting over the eastern parts of the country and southern peninsula, right from Vidarbha to Coastal Andhra Pradesh across Telangana. Northwesterly cold and dry winds are merging with humid south-easterlies leading to this convergence.
In the wake of this combination, scattered rain and thundershowers may continue in Coastal Andhra Pradesh for the next two to three days. During the same span, isolated showers are likely in Telangana.
Places like Hyderabad, Ramagundam, Khammam, Visakhapatnam, Kalingapatnam and Kurnool may observe this spell of rain and thundershowers.
On the other hand, interior parts of Odisha will remain dry and comfortable with partly cloudy sky conditions. However, coastal areas stand a chance to observe light weather activities.
These on and off rains are expected to continue for at least next two to three days. Rains will be mostly patchy and may not be a continuous affair. Chances of widespread or heavy rain are completely ruled out.
