Rain will continue to occur over northwest region including the national capital Delhi during the next two days. Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Punjab and east Haryana will receive showers during the period. North Madhya Pradesh, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh will also witness rain.

Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa and Chhattisgarh will receive rain at many places during the two days. Rain could be heavy at a few places.

The low pressure area over Orissa and Chhattisgarh has merged with axis of monsoon trough which is the reason for increase in rain over east and east central India. North Andhra Pradesh will also have rain due to this weather system.

Rain will also lessen over Kerala, south interior and madhya Maharashtra. However, it will remain scanty over Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and west Rajasthan. Rain will also remain subdued along the west coast. The commercial capital Mumbai will have occasional showers.

Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh will receive rain at many places due to moisture feed from Bay of Bengal in the form of southerly winds.
