The well-marked low pressure area over Telangana and adjoining Rayalaseema persists and is likely to move westwards. The trough from this system is moving towards the Karnataka coast. Another frail cyclonic circulation can also be observed over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh. Under the influence of this system, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas may experience overcast skies with good amounts of rain at many places.
Rain and clouds over central parts of the country will bring down temperatures by a couple of notches. Similarly, Odisha, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh will also observe below normal temperatures due to continuous good amounts to heavy rain. Light scattered rain over most parts of east and northeast India including Tripura, Mizoram and south Bihar will keep the mercury below normal by few degrees. In the southern peninsula, temperatures are below normal by 4 to 6 degrees at many pockets due to heavy rainfall. Tamil Nadu, on the other hand, will remain slightly warmer between 31 to 35 degrees.
Due to light winds in the lower altitudes, thick haze prevails over the industrial belt of north-west India. A feeble Western Disturbance moving across extreme north of Jammu & Kashmir may cause light snow in the hills.
