Most parts of India, which have been reeling under severe heat wave, will now get relief from the prolonged spell of rain. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, several weather systems are prevailing over Northwest and Central India that will be giving weather from Sunday evening onwards.

A fresh Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir and has given light to moderate rain over the hilly states.

While an induced cyclonic circulation is prevailing over Haryana and adjoining west Uttar Pradesh. Another cyclonic circulation is over Chhattisgarh and adjoining Odisha region.

These weather systems combined together will give fairly widespread scattered rain and thundershowers over Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, west Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and parts of Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, a trough is extending from Chhattisgarh up to Tamil Nadu across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In wake of this, we can expect thunderstorm and thundershower activities over parts of Odisha, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from June 02 onwards.

As per Skymet, these weather activities will continue till June 4. With this, maximum temperatures will also register a drop by at least two to three degrees, bringing much needed relief from the soaring mercury, especially in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Though day temperatures will take a dip but they will still continue to settle above 40-degree mark, making afternoon slightly uncomfortable.
