After remaining dry for last many days, Delhi-NCR and Haryana are likely to witness isolated light rain and thunderstorm on Wednesday. The weather activity may also touch upon the neighbouring parts of Uttar Pradesh.
According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, a fresh cyclonic circulation has developed over Northwest Rajasthan, which has led to change in the wind pattern to moist southwesterlies over the region.
Thus, with the increase in humidity, we can expect some isolated spell of rain or thunderstorms over few pockets the national capital and the neighbouring state, Haryana.
Moreover, this weather activity will further increase the levels of humidity and lead to marginal fall in both maximum and minimum temperatures. As a result, dense fog is likely to occur over the plains of North India on January 14.
Not only this. Another spell of rain is also approaching both the states by January 15. This would be on account of a fresh Western Disturbance over the hilly region and nduced cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining areas.
Dry and cold northwesterly winds had been blowing over northwestern plains for the last couple of days. Under its influence, the region had been witnessing clear weather conditions with good sunshine.
