Since last many days, Delhi and NCR region have been reeling under hot and blistering weather conditions. To such an extent that the day maximums were setting above the normal average. These high maximums and scorching weather conditions together made the weather tough across the national capital and the adjoining regions.
However, the recent light rainy spells and dust storms have made the weather a bit bearable across the region. The mercury level that was settling near 45°C reduced to 38-40°C.During the last 24 hours as well, the sky remained cloudy over the region. In fact, thunderclouds have developed over Ambala and Fatehabad.
As per Skymet Weather, dust storms, rain and thundershowers with squally winds are likely in parts of Delhi and NCR for next 24 to 48 hours. With this, day maximums are expected to curtail down by 2 to 3 degrees. Morning and night hours are likely to be pleasant.

The reason for these rain and thundershowers could be attributed to a fresh Western Disturbance that will be approaching over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. Moreover, an induced cyclonic circulation is also seen over Punjab and adjoining areas.
Hence, Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad will observe some rain and thundershowers activities. However, thereafter, the weather will again clear up leading to rise in temperatures.
