Isolated light rains could be seen from Tuesday evening only. However, intensity of rains would pick up pace by Wednesday. As per weathermen, widespread light to moderate rain and snow would start lashing many parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

The intensity of the rain and snow is likely to peak on February 14, wherein we can expect some heavy spells as well.
With this, threat of avalanche and landslide also looms large over the state. We are afraid that many highways and roads would be blocked once again, affecting the daily lives.

We might see clearance by February 15 but another spell of rains and snow would return by February 19. Weathermen are of the view that another active Western Disturbance would be affecting the Western Himalayas during that time. It is predicted that the impact of the system would be much more than the present one.
