We can now expect snowfall to commence over Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Due to the persistence of the system, rain and snow intensity is expected to increase.

These weather activities would continue on an intermittent basis. Uttarakhand will receive rain at few places and isolated snowfall is also possible in the upper reaches of the region. The day temperatures are expected to fall because of the existence of weather activities.

As per the models, Western Disturbance is expected to move eastwards by November 15 and weather will once again clear up. Moderate to heavy snowfall may once again obstruct the traffic on Jammu and Kashmir national highway and many other parts of the state.

Katra and holy cities of Vaishno Devi might witness moderate thundershower activities. Time has come for tourists to enjoy season’s snow.

Possibility of landslides and mudslides is usually expected due to such weather activities. Tourists and inhabitants are advised to take precautions beforehand.Once the weather activities cease, sky will once again clear up and temperatures will rise. There is a possibility of avalanche too.

November 16 onward, icy cool winds from northwest direction will commence which will be instrumental in dropping day and night temperatures over northern plains of the country including national territory, Delhi.
