Andhra Pradesh has been recording on and off rainfall activity of varied intensity from the beginning of the month. The rainfall saga continues to lash the state. In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Friday, Vijayawada witnessed heavy rain to the tune of 89.6 mm.

In the same span of time, Machilipatnam recorded 11.6 mm of rain, Kalingapatnam 6.3 mm and Vishakhapatnam 1.3 mm rain. A cyclonic circulation is prevailing over Coastal Odisha in lower levels. Along with this weather system, an upper air trough is extending from this system to Tamil Nadu coast which is disturbing the air mass.
Hence warm and moist weather is prevailing over Andhra Pradesh. As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, light rain may occur at a few places during the next 24 hours over the state. Places such as Kalingapatnam, Vijayawada, and Vishakhapatnam will witness rainfall activity.

Thereafter, rain will spread over some more parts of the state and will continue for the next two to three days. After 24 hours, places such as East Godavari, West Godavari, Machilipatnam along with Kalingapatnam, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam will come under the influence of rain.
The maximum temperatures will settle between 28°C to 30°C over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and 30°C to 34°C over southern districts of Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures will range between 22°C to 24°C across the Andhra Pradesh.
