Southern parts of the country inclusive of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and adjoining areas may see some Pre Monsoon showers. These rainfall activities will be for about three days starting today.
These rains will be attributed to the north south Peninsular India trough running from Telangana region across Karnataka up to Tamil Nadu. This well marked trough oscillates east and west, due to which rain belt also oscillates.
Rains may be seen over Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Madurai, Trichy, Thanjavur, Puducherry, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Nagapattinam, Karaikal, Tondi. Rainfall activity will be seen more today as compared to other days.
