It appears that the weather gods have become generous over the states of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. After witnessing moderate to dense fog over many parts of the states, rain and thundershowers are expected.
As per Skymet Weather, current weather conditions are apt for some rain activity over both the states. These rains can be attributed to a trough which is seen extending from Uttar Pradesh up to Bangladesh through Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
Moisture laden southeasterly winds from Bay of Bengal are also blowing over Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and adjoining parts of South Bihar.
Hence with the combined effect of the weather system and southeasterly winds, we can expect scattered rains over many parts of Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh.
Meanwhile, one or two districts of South Bihar may also witness isolated showers during next 48 hours.
According to weatherman, light rain is likely to commence by today evening or night. The intensity of these rains is expected to increase marginally by January 2 over the region.
Moreover, minimum temperatures may rise marginally for the next 2 days over aforementioned areas. Thereafter, drop in night temperatures by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius can be expected.
