Hyderabad bid adieu to the month of August on a rainy note. In contrast to August, the month of September began on a parched note for the capital of the youngest state, Telangana. In fact, Hyderabad has remained dry from the last 3-4 days.
The last rainy spells that the city has witnessed was on September 6 but those spells were very light in nature. In fact, Sparing the last days of August including August 26 when the city has recorded a three-digit rainfall figure, otherwise, rains have remained far from occurring over the city of Nizams.
Within the last 24 hours also, Hyderabad has not recorded any rains that kept the maximums close to the 33-degree mark. Most of the other districts of the state also failed to observe any rains within the similar time span. However, now Skymet Weather anticipates some rains paving the way toward the city.

As per Skymet Weather, at present, the dry northwesterly winds are mixing with the southwesterly humid winds from the Bay of Bengal which may lead to the development of thunderclouds thus resulting in isolated rains.

However, moderate showers are likely to appear in parts of Telangana including Hyderabad between September 13 and 14 thus eradicating the long prevailing dry spell.
