The cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan has moved westward and now lies over northwest Rajasthan and adjoiningPakistan. Under its influence, rain will increase over Rajasthan, south Punjab and west Haryana during the next two days. Areas north of these places like the hills of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will have light to moderate rain during the period.
Meanwhile, rain will be more along the east coast over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa as the cyclonic circulation lies off Orissa and adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast near west central Bay of Bengal. Rain will be mostly light to moderate. Inland areas like Rayalaseema, Telangana and south Chhattisgarh and Orissa will receive rain once the circulation moves inside.
In central India, rain has reduced and become concentrated near the axis of monsoon trough that passes through Bikaner, Sawai Madhopur, Nowgong, Pendra, Jharsuguda, Paradip and southeast Bay of Bengal. It means rain will remain subdued over south Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during the next few days.
In eastern part, light rain may occur at a few places over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand andWest Bengal. Rain could be moderate at one or two places in the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttar Pradesh, north Bihar, sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
In northeastern states, rain will occur at many places but they will be light in intensity.East Assamand Meghalaya could have moderate spells at a few places.
Rain is expected to remain subdued along the west coast including commercial capital Mumbai. Kerala and Karnataka will have scanty rain in the next few days due to lack of weather system that used to penetrate southwest moist winds from the Arabian Sea.
