A trough (region of intensified monsoon winds) extending from Uttar Pradesh to north coastal Andhra Pradesh across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha is expected to continue giving rain in the area for next two days.
Moderate to heavy rain will be witnessed in these areas in next 48 hours. Rain will also continue to occur in Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Madhya Pradesh as they will receive southeasterly winds from the Bay of Bengal during this period. Temperatures in these areas will continue to remain comfortable.
Rain in north coastal Andhra Pradesh will decrease as the weather system is expected to move away and weaken the current trough.
Rain has decreased in Gujarat and Rajasthan due to the weakening of the low pressure area. A surge from the Arabian Sea may send across moisture after two days to again give rain in these areas. This southwesterly surge will also affect the West coast over Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada in south central peninsula during the next 72 hours.
The Western Disturbance over east Jammu & Kashmir will reach the northeast region in next two days. The weather system may connect with the moisture from the Bay of Bengal to increase rain in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
Northwest plains will have pleasant weather due to partly cloudy to cloudy sky that will keep temperatures below or near normal.
