Rain likely over Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Kota, Bundi, Mount Abu

Almost dry weather conditions have been prevailing over north and western parts of the state of Rajasthan. However, scattered light to moderate rains have been lashing the southeastern parts of Rajasthan.

Scattered light rains were also witnessed during the last 24 hours as well. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Phalodi recorded 3 mm of rain, and Mount Abu 2 mm. Traces of rains were also seen in Barmer and Udaipur.

A cyclonic circulation was persisting over Southeast rajasthan and adjoining Southwest Madhya Pradesh due to which scattered rains occurred over Southeast rajasthan in the last 24 hours.

Now, this cyclonic circulation is persisting over Southwest Madhya Pradesh. Due to its effect, light to moderate rains will continue over places like Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Kota, Bundi, Mount Abu.

Now, light rains are expected over some parts of Southeastern districts of Rajasthan. However, other parts of the state will remain dry.

Another cyclonic circulation which is over Odisha coast will gradually move in a west direction across Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Thus, by next weekend, the system will reach over West Madhya Pradesh and adjoining East Rajasthan.

Thus, many parts of East Rajasthan including Jaipur, Ajmer, Sawai Madhopur, Dholpur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu will witness light to moderate rains. Rainfall intensity will witness further increase during September 23 and 24. However, the West Rajasthan region will continue to witness dry weather conditions only.
