Rain likely over Ongole, Nellore and Kavali

Andhra Pradesh has been witnessing a rainy show from the beginning of the month. The rain show has not stopped over state yet. As per Skymet Weather, few spells of light to moderate showers will continue to occur. The Southern coastal regions are expected to witness good rains.

Places such Ongole, Nellore, and Kavali are likely to come under the influence of rain in the next 24 hours. The rainfall activity is likely to continue for the next few and gradually the rainfall activity will also increase over the interior parts of the state.

In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Monday, Machilipatnam witnessed moderate intensity rain to the tune of 24 mm. In the same span of time, Vijayawada recorded light rain of 4 mm, Kakinada 0.5 mm and Narsapur 0.3 mm of rain.

Currently, many weather systems can be seen above and near Andhra Pradesh. A cyclonic circulation can be seen over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka Coast. Second cyclonic circulation is stationed over the southeast Arabian Sea close to North Kerala.

A trough has also formed between the above-mentioned weather systems. A second trough placed from South Chhattisgarh to Coastal Arabian Sea across South Karnataka and Telangana.

These weather systems will be responsible for the rainfall activity over Andhra Pradesh. Weather warm has taken over the state and from October 25, humidity levels will also increase.
