The Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir is moving northeastwards and will bring light rain over Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours. According to our forecast, light rain may occur in Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad and Varanasi. Sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy that will drop the day temperatures in these places but night temperatures in the state may increase during the next 24 hours.
Night temperatures in Lucknow and Kanpur have risen to above normal during the last two days but they could fall after the next 24 hours as northerly winds will once again start to blow. Kanpur witnesses an average night temperature of 8.6 degrees while Lucknow records 8.4 degrees as average minimum during the month of December.
Day temperatures in these cities will again rise from tomorrow onwards. Lucknow recorded a maximum of 22.8 degrees yesterday against the average maximum of 24.6 degrees for the month. Maximum temperature in Kanpur on Saturday morning was 23.4 degrees which is marginally lower than the normal average of 24.8 degrees.
Precipitation will reduce fog in Uttar Pradesh as the humidity levels in the atmosphere will drop. The region remains prone to foggy weather due to being close to the sea.
