Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra are now witnessing near normal or marginally below normal maximum and minimum temperatures. As far as rainfall activity is concerned, weather has remained dry over the region for the past few days.
The induced cyclonic circulation which was persisting over North India has moved away, and northerly cool winds have commenced over Madhya Maharashtra and Goa. Therefore, temperatures will further drop by one to two degrees over these areas.
Coastal areas of Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Dahanu, and Ratnagiri are likely to observe humid weather conditions.
In terms of rains, a trough is expected to form from North to South Madhya Maharashtra around March 25. Thus, thunderstorm or light rains are expected over Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur and a few other areas on March 25. Weather will once again become dry thereafter.

Due to prevailing dry weather during the next 24 hours, farmers are advised to continue harvesting Rabi crops, Orange, Pomegranate and Mosambi crops. Also, farmers are suggested to irrigate summer groundnut and Maize crops.
